Course Aim:

To impart system and equipment knowledge and skills leading towards operational competence in routine and corrective maintenance procedures for the Direction-Finding Equipment - RHOTHETA RT-1000.

Participants will demonstrate knowledge, skills and attitudes appropriate to perform operation, maintenance, ground checks and calibration on the DF Equipment

Scope:

Introduction to the RT-1000 Direction Finding Equipment, Theory of operation of the Controller Unit, Theory of operation of the Receiver Unit, Theory of operation of the Antenna, DF Equipment Layout and Diagrams, Operation of Commander Software, Practical Familiarization of Equipment, Practical System Testing and Alignment, Practical System Operation and Maintenance, Practical Fault-Finding Exercises and Familiarization of ICAO Annex 10. Vol 2, Chapter 6.
